This old Timber and Hardware Merchant from the 1850’s has had the ultimate facelift and continues to grow and expand with the changing times.
The Mill Bowral's expansive heirloom spaces have been consciously converted into a buzzing community hub and is now home to a café, delicious food vendors in The Mill Courtyard, rocking retail stores, co-working space and creative studios. In more recent times it even added The Mill Wednesday Farmers Market.
Prior to the disruptions of 2020 (drought, fire and COVID-19) The Mill Bowral opened its doors to the region every Wednesday providing a place for local producers, small businesses and the community to come together. During this time, it was a pleasure to see local producers trialling new products and services which were readily taken up by the Highlands community.
Let’s Pivot not Pause.
The Mill adapted to the COVID-19 restrictions and turned the Farmers Market into a virtual one stop shop for the Southern Highlands by launching The Mill Marketplace. To do this we created a virtual platform for the weekly famers market, where local businesses great or small were invited to have an online presence that allowed them to continue to trade their products and services.
Now once again, The Mill Marketplace is reinventing itself. We are hitting pause on orders as we readjust our offering as easing of restrictions once again changes the way we all do business. The Mill Marketplace will be back, bigger and better than ever with fresh new offerings in keeping with our goal of supporting, promoting and highlighting the best of local produce and products.
As restrictions have eased we have also reintroduced our live Farmers Market - keep an eye on our social media channels for updates.
The Mill Bowral remains committed to facilitating connection between the community, local businesses and farmers.
